Istanbul Finds Part II

Here's the second instalment of the Istanbul pictures. Of course those are select photos. Mostly of the things I found in the Grand Bazaar. I loved the colours and designs of the slipper and boots (above). I took tons of photos of the city that are unrelated to shoes or fashion. But I've been captivated by this beautiful city, that I just woundered on the streets and didn't get the chance to spend enough time in the shopping districts and the malls. I've been to Istiklal Road though. Lots of great deals on Turkish and Brand name designs from Chanel to Valentino!

I will definitely be going back though. Will take more proper photos next time! :)

Istanbul Shoe Finds

Hello fellow shoe-aholics,

So finally I'm getting around to writing this. Been having quite a hectic life lately :(
But I'm back... and hopefully this will be my first post back in consistent blogging again!
Anyways, as you can probably tell from the title, I wanted to share with you a group of Turkish designers' work that I discovered while strolling the streets of Galata, Istanbul. The shop's name is NES and is run by the ever so fashionable Neslihan Güneri .

Packing, airplane outfit & Istanbul at Night

As promised, here's my first post about my trip to Istanbul.

First, the packing was and has always been the hardest part of any trip I take. I'm very indecisive when it comes to what to take and what to leave behind. Shoes-wise, i narrowed it down to the shoes in the picture (below), then I eliminated 5 more I think! I tried to be organized with the accessories, so I grouped them based on type (necklaces, rings, earrings ... etc) into small zip-lock bags. That was the best thing I've ever done when it came to packing. Been very helpful throughout my trip ^__^

What I really wanted to share in this post is my travel outfit. MOST COMFORTABLE OUTFIT ...EVER! For the 2 flights, I wore pretty much the same outfit but switched a couple items.
H&M black tights (more comfortable thing I've ever wore. so decided against pants and planned my whole outfit around the tights)
Long white shirt (wore a plain basic one for the first flight & a ZARA one on the 2nd flight)
H&M blazer (which I wore whenever it was cold i.e. on the plane itself and when the AC was high at any part of my trip)
Flats (black FOREVER21 flats for the first flight, then H&M leopard flats for the 2nd flight)
Long scarf (from ARDENE, helped keep me warm on the plane!)
It was really simple, really comfortable, and I really liked the whole look!

I arrived in Istanbul around dinner time, so I had dinner and walked around the hotel area for a bit, it was really beautiful at night and I enjoyed the music that was being played on some of the streets =)

I narrowed down the shoes to these - then I was forced to eliminate some more!

I was really exhausted, so I decided to go to bed early, which was a great idea, cause I got to watch the beautiful sunrise the next morning! More pictures to come in the next post ;)

Apologies, Travels & Summer Fun!

I know it's been forever since my last post. I'M SORRY! But I've been crazy busy since my last post. Like most of you have been/are doing, I've set off on my summer travel adventures.

First, I went to Istanbul for a few days... totally on my own. it was CRAZY! Definitively one of the craziest trips of my life so far. I will dedicate a couple of the upcoming posts to that part of my trip.

Right now I'm in Alexandria, Egypt & will be heading to Cairo Tomorrow *fingers crossed*. My phone is finally working here (yay) so I'll try posting updates on the road to my twitter and facebook. So make sure to follow me on there, got some exciting posts coming up ;)

London, I HEART you!

Came across this Union Jack Heart-Bag on romwe.com today. Oh how I love the UJ print. On bags, shirts, leggings, dresses... pretty much ANYTHING! It gives a nice edge, taking any outfit from being good to just awesome!

Out of my own closet, my favorite is my London shirt (below).

I love pairing it with this necklace and my "rock&roll" earrings! :)

One other reason for my love for UJ clothes is that it reminds me of England. Went on a trip there 2 summers ago & it was so amazing. I fell in love with this country!
