Am I the only one who's hyperventilating out of extreme excitement right now?????
I would kill to have access to this closet even if it was just for one day 0.0

If you get to pick one of these pairs, which one would you go for?

Istanbul Shoe Finds

Hello fellow shoe-aholics,

So finally I'm getting around to writing this. Been having quite a hectic life lately :(
But I'm back... and hopefully this will be my first post back in consistent blogging again!
Anyways, as you can probably tell from the title, I wanted to share with you a group of Turkish designers' work that I discovered while strolling the streets of Galata, Istanbul. The shop's name is NES and is run by the ever so fashionable Neslihan Güneri .

Here're some of my favorite picks! :)

Around & About: Urban Outfitters

Shoes Urban Outfitters
Urban Outfitters Shoes

I've never really been an UO fan. I've always seen it as another overpriced store. But it's been growing on me lately. Last time I was there (the downtown Toronto store), started to see that it actually has some pretty nice stuff. It just requires a lot of browsing. I really liked the shoes [above] but the size ranges are quite limited. That's quite frustrating if you like a certain item but you can't find the right size :( On the upside, the material is pretty good, it stands out and the vintage-like and/or edgy-feel of the products can add a lot to any wardrobe.  I would pretty much like to own every single pair in this pic, especially the brown one!

I also found a lot of other random things [below] that I found pretty amusing/make great gifts. From books, notebooks, post-it... to music, photography & art work. I sure need to shop there more often.

Julian Louie for Aldo

(c) Courtesy Aldo Shoes

No doubt Aldo Shoes is one of the best stores to hit in Canada when one is looking for the latests trend at -somewhat- affordable prices. It doesn't always have the best quality shoes, but while they last, they look good and chic!

For Spring/Summer 2011 Aldo's shoe collection is right on trend. I'm especially loving the Julian Louie's collection. The prints are funky and statment making. Exactly what one needs for the summer =)

Check out the Pre-launch Party held at NYC to see how Julian Louie described his collection and the first reactions of NYC fashionistas to it.

Perosnally, I really like 'Deanna'. (because I think that if you gonna go tribal, might as well go all the way!)
Deanna - Aldo Shoes  - $125

Which one -if any- would you wear?

Shoe of the day: United Nude's ABSTRACT

Abstract by United Nude
$324.95

Now, that's something you don't see on the streets very often. I really like the design but curious as to how it is when it comes to walkability and balance!

LITA... need I say more?

Jeffery Campbell's Lita is without a doubt THE shoe of the year. It managed to establish itself as a basic in every fashinista's shoe closet. Every popular blog I've been on had Lita on it somewhere. Some blogs seemed to be revolving around Lita, including the fashionable Shan's blog (http://webblog.tinytoadstool.com/). She owns it in pretty much every colour!

As for me, I LOVE how it looks & the bazillion ways you can wear it. But that still didn't make me rush to buy it. I mean, I'm awkwardly tall already and wasn't sure how I'll walk in it. It might sound a bit ironic, but despite my love for shoes -every shape, colour, classy, sexy or just bazaar looking- I'm challenged when it comes to walking. My left foot just manages to twist on me somehow and i always end up ruining my shoes. I considered going to Dr's to get it checked out, but I'm too much of a chicken to do that. I keep getting this nagging feeling that s/he will tell me something is wrong with my legs and that I shouldn't wear heels (do I hear you laughing?? don't laugh! that's a serious matter for me here :P).....  ANYWAYS, so, I was on campus the other day, and I spot a girl wearing a pair of Lita (in black) and I automatically jump and tell her how great they look, and ask her how comfortably do they fit... obviously they ain't gonna be the most comfortable shoes in the world, I just needed a rating of how painful they could be or how long their "half-life" is when it comes to bearable hours of wear. Surprisingly, she says it's one of the most comfortable heels she ever wore. I was like mmmmmm... interesting! So few weeks later, while walking by the fashion district I stop by one of my favorite shoe shops and ask them if they have a pair in size 10.. and of course they did (they're awesome like that)... I put it on & I'm like 'OMG! It IS comfortable'... So now, I want to get the plain olive one (above). I don't care how I'll make it fit into my budget, but I really want one!

So enough writing for me, I'll end the post with some pictures of what I think are amongst the best worn Litas that I came across.. I love how everyone wore differently adding so much of their personal style to the outfit =)
